Nano Banana 2 adds Live Search and video references
Use deeper thinking, direct an image with one authorized video, or make a one-time grounded result with Web and Image search.
Choose the thinking level
Minimal is the default for everyday work. Choose High when a difficult composition or grounded request benefits from more reasoning before Nano Banana 2 creates the image.
- Use Minimal for routine drafts and edits.
- Use High for complex layouts, synthesis, or stricter visual instructions.
Add motion as context
Add one authorized DayGen video beside the existing 14-image budget. The video keeps its own source identity and lineage, while normal results follow the same durable private Gallery workflow as other Nano Banana 2 generations.
Use Live Search as an ephemeral mode
In Image Create or QuickEdit, keep Web, Images, or both enabled. DayGen shows the generated image, citations, and Google Search Suggestions only in the open component. The result is not saved, shared, attached, reused, added to history, or sent downstream; manual download is the only result action.
